Family New Year Resolutions
The start of a new year is here and you may be thinking about adding some healthier habits to your family’s routine.
Here are our top resolutions to make as a family!
- Eating Healthier-Now is a great time to start adding in a few extra fruits, vegetables and whole grains into your family’s diet. A good place to start is making one small alteration to your diet such as taking the time to eat one more vegetable with lunch. Once you have achieved that, add something new! Those small things can really add up.
- Sitting down at the table to have a family dinner- It can be really hard for busy families to be able to sit down at the table for every meal. Try making a goal that is reasonable for your family (such as three times a week) and aim to keep it. Eating together as a family can help bring everyone closer together as well as lets everyone have a second to sit down and relax.
- Cook one meal together every week- Cooking together as a family can be a fun way to teach kids healthy habits. By starting early, kids can learn to enjoy to cook and can start developing skills that can be very useful later in life.
